Eshalon Mayer
Executive Director
she/herEshalon has found a perfect balance between her love for nature and her humanitarian passions for community and family preservation with Belong Wisconsin. Eshalon has a background in youth advocacy and community resilience. She spent her early career in the Fox Valley working with families and individuals experiencing barriers, as well as volunteering with Camp To Belong in programmatic and supportive leadership roles. Eshalon knows the importance of the shared positive memory building that happens when kids and families can simply be and play together. Eshalon has a degree in Natural Resources and Environment Education and is currently continuing her education at UW Oshkosh in Organizational Development and Leadership. Eshalon lives in Wisconsin’s Fox Valley with her family. In her spare time Eshalon can be found in her garden, reading a book or snuggling her 3 small children.

Nicki Damrow
Executive Program Director
she/herNicki is a lifelong Wisconsinite. She grew up in the Madison area, has a BS in Psychology from UW Green Bay, an MSE in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW Oshkosh, and currently lives in Appleton. Nicki has been working to further our mission to reunite separated siblings since 2016 as a volunteer and Board member, and was a member of the founding group for Belong Wisconsin. She has experience working in various non-profits focused on advocacy and mental health. Nicki also owns her own therapy practice, specializing in helping people with anxiety and navigating significant life changes. The mission of Belong Wisconsin holds a special place in her heart because of the integral importance of building a community that deeply understands our life experiences, and is proud to be part of helping create spaces for people to foster those connections.

Sohel Ahmod
Administrative /Program Coordinator Intern
He/HimSohel Ahmod is a student, writer, and community advocate currently pursuing his Philosophy degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Originally from Bangladesh, Sohel brings a global perspective to his work, shaped by his experiences with education, activism, and social justice. He has worked as a teaching assistant in philosophy and logic, co-founded an educational platform to expand access to learning, and has been actively involved in projects that center youth empowerment and human dignity. Sohel joined Belong Wisconsin in 2025 as an administrative/Program Coordinator intern, drawn to the organization’s mission of building belonging and connection for separated siblings and youth in care. His passion for creating inclusive, supportive spaces—especially for those navigating difficult transitions—aligns deeply with Belong’s vision. He is excited to contribute his skills in research, writing, and community engagement to help further that mission.
